Our Full-Service Interior Design Process
Our interior design services in Scottsdale & Phoenix follow a thoughtful process that gives you time to review ideas and make informed decisions. Along the way, clear presentations and ongoing communication keep you connected to the design as it develops.
Tell us about your location, project scope, anticipated timeline, and priorities through our inquiry form. From there, we’ll connect to discuss your plans and whether our full-service approach fits your needs.
First, we meet to discuss your style, budget, and goals. For new builds, this includes reviewing architectural plans; for remodels, we walk through the home together. Next, a tailored proposal outlines the design scope and our collaboration with your project team.
Layouts, materials, and interior details take shape through a series of design presentations. After reviewing your feedback, we refine the selections together. Once the design is approved, the final package brings drawings, specifications, and visual references into one coordinated plan.
During construction, site visits and communication with your builder, vendors, and trades help maintain the approved design. Melanie answers design questions and reviews details as work progresses. Meanwhile, your contractor remains responsible for construction scheduling, jobsite management, and execution.
When furnishings are included, a separate design phase develops the furniture and styling plan. Following approval, we oversee purchasing and coordinate installation. Finally, furniture placement and finishing touches bring the completed spaces together.
Interior Design Services for Scottsdale & Phoenix Homes
We believe the best homes come together through great collaboration. Whether working directly with homeowners or alongside architects and custom home builders, we bring a thoughtful design perspective to every project. Our goal is to create a seamless experience where every detail feels intentional and the finished home reflects the vision we created together.
Questions About Our Interior Design Services
When Should I Hire an Interior Designer for a New Build?
Ideally, bring us in before or shortly after your architect develops the initial floor plans. This allows interior layouts, cabinetry, lighting, and furnishing needs to inform decisions early. However, if your plans are already underway, we can discuss how our services fit your current stage.
Do You Work with My Architect and Builder?
Yes. Collaboration with architects, builders, contractors, and vendors is central to our approach. Throughout the project, drawings, specifications, and design discussions help your team understand and carry out the approved interior design.
What Types of Remodels Do You Design?
Our focus is whole-home remodels and substantial renovations involving connected spaces, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and main living areas. As a result, the design considers how layouts, finishes, and furnishings relate throughout the home.
Can You Include Furniture in My Design Package?
Yes. Furnishings can be included alongside your new-build or remodel design. Once the interior direction is established, we develop a furniture plan that complements the home, followed by purchasing, installation coordination, and styling.
How Much Do Your Interior Design Services Cost?
Design fees depend on your project’s scope and the services involved. After discussing your plans, priorities, and budget, we prepare a proposal tailored to your home. This gives you a clear understanding of the proposed design services before moving forward.
Do You Manage the Construction Jobsite?
Our role is design intent management. During construction, we coordinate design questions and review how the approved details are taking shape. Your contractor, meanwhile, manages construction scheduling, the jobsite, and the execution of the work.
